I am Tina Kukan, and together with my husband, Slav, we have run our family business providing comfortable shared houses for students and young professionals in Nottingham for more than 35 years. We have been fully accredited with Unipol ever since they became involved with student accommodation in Nottingham and we therefore have their golden status for longstanding accredited, trustworthy landlords. I have also served as a member of Unipol's consultative committee who regularly meet to discuss all aspects of student rental housing in Nottingham so we have a vast experience of the ever changing rental market which is invaluable when managing our rental properties.

We have experienced renting houses ourselves, as former University students, so we know what students require. We have also seen student houses from a parents' perspective, when our own daughters attended  Universities and lived in shared houses. We feel that good locations along with safety and security should be high priorities in student properties. Our houses are therefore fitted with all the necessary fire safety  features - heat detectors, fire doors, alarms and safe escape routes, as well as essential carbon monoxide detectors for that extra peace of mind. We know parents want their sons & daughters to live in good residential areas in comfortable, clean, affordable, well maintained accredited houses and this is what we aim to provide.

We take a pride in offering our tenants a direct, friendly approach when needed, yet allowing them peace and privacy as desired. There are no hidden charges or agency fees with the way we operate - just a straightforward contract and a refundable deposit. We use the deposit protection scheme endorsed by Unipol and we've been told by many of our former tenants that we are very fair when it comes to deposit deductions at the end of a tenancy.

Having listened to students voicing their concerns about renting houses from private landlords, we know that unknown extra costs of bills are a major worry, therefore we now offer an all inclusive rent option which includes all the bills and this is proving very popular.

We manage our own  properties ourselves so if there are any problems, we can always be contacted by phone or email to help-24 hours a day- and our tenants know who to contact if any problems arise. We have a trusted team of professional tradesmen (electricians, plumbers etc.) who work for us when the need arises, so any problems can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
