We have been student landlords for thirty years, at the same time as John was lecturing in Art and Design, and Joan was teaching Drama in a Comprehensive school.

Since retiring we have enjoyed being able to concentrate our enthusiasm on renovating and improving our student houses, and furnishing them with character and comfort to provide homes to socialise and study in.

We really enjoy being able to combine our interest in houses with the continuity of contact with students. We understand their financial constraints and aim to keep the rents as low as possible whilst maintaining a really reliable service, should any repairs be necessary.

We thought following testimonial from one of our current student tenants would give a better picture of what we are as  landlords and how we care for our tenants ...........

“The landlords are lovely, the best I had in my Four years of being a student in Nottingham.  They are always available to pop over and fix any problems and collect the rent in person.  They make an effort to get to know you which is a real personal touch that makes you feel extremely welcome.

The house itself is a charming cosy 4 bed, a short journey from Trent University.  This is ideal for late nights in the library and getting to lectures or hitting the town!!

It is just around the corner from big Asda store which helps keep food cost down and there is a great PUB- (The Lion) with all sorts going on 5 minutes down the road.  The house has a modern bright bathroom with an extra Toilet in the adjacent room which is very handy.  The kitchen has lots of storage room with all the appliances you will need.  There is a beautiful sunny garden which is perfect in summer for BBQs and to sit out in.

The rent is really good value and bills are extremely cheap at £15 per month each on average.  Parking is available and it is free on the next road.  Basically this house is perfect for those students who don’t want to worry about the expense of living cost without losing any of the quality expected of a house and landlords.”
