Christopher and Kevin Hoban are brothers. We have owned and let two houses in City Road, Dunkirk, since 1978. Over the years we have renovated and refurbished the houses to keep them in good condition.

Letting accommodation to students is not just a business as we pride ourselves in trying to establish a good relationship with all of the students.

Christopher undertakes building maintenance as a full time activity and is well placed to solve problems if they occur. Living in Nottingham means he is able to respond appropriately.

Having had children ourselves who have been to university, including one at Nottingham, we appreciate the need for good, safe accommodation that gives value for money. But we also recognise that attending university may be the first time young people live away from home and have to organise domestic arrangements for themselves. We try to guide them, if necessary, to look after the property, respecting others and the neighbours. This helps us to keep costs down and they avoid charges at the end of the tenancy.

Over the years we have had a number of student residents from overseas and are pleased to have helped them through the transition from their home countries.
