About us
I am a small-time landlord. I own just one student house. My husband and I have been managing this house for 30 years. We enjoy student tenants as it is interesting to watch them maturing and enjoying their newly gained independence.
We feel that the major benefit we offer tenants is that we can respond quickly to any problem that might arise. Even if we are away our capable son is also nearby. We take seriously the safety and security of our tenants and their property.
Another benefit , that all our previous tenants have opted for, is for me to pay all the bills by direct debit while the tenants add a sum to their rent payments. The sum added is just an estimate of what the costs will be but it has usually worked out about enough. There is no charge for this service and any under or over payment is settled at the end of the tenancy.
Nearly all groups stay 2 years and we have received many letters of commendation (see below).
Our tenants sign a joint tenancy agreement taken from the Unipol website. We do not charge for preparing this. We take a deposit which is lodged with the Deposit Protection Service. We have rarely made deductions from the deposits.
