The training events are designed to help improve the services we offer to students and to also prepare landlords for many difficult situations they may face.

Landlord Training- Future-Proofing Student HMOs: Refurbishment and Renovation

Students have increasing expectations of their shared houses and landlords who are invested for the long term generally recognise that properties need to be both attractive but robust to continue to let in this competitive market. Over the last 5 years Unipol has transformed its own portfolio of shared student houses, investing in revamped interiors, energy efficiency, technology and open plan spaces with the aim of future-proofing these properties.
This new session for landlords will look at:
- The six areas that Unipol focus on when upgrading properties: improving sociability, energy efficiency, technology, security, homeliness and improved design (the wow-factor).
- 3 examples of recent Unipol renovations including before and after photos, tips and techniques, costs and trends in design.
