Summary

The Second Reading of the Renters’ Rights Bill took place on 9th October and was passed by the House of Commons and it is now at the Committee Stage. Unipol was invited to give an oral submission to a Public Bill Committee on Tuesday 22nd October.  This was an opportunity to provide more detail to members of the Committee on the niche nature of the student housing sector and set out the reasons why it should be given special attention, not only the PBSA sector but also the off-street student provision. 

Following the oral evidence sessions on Tuesday 29th October, the Renters’ Rights Bill Committee started detailed line by line scrutiny of the Bill
